...but when they saw the figure of the Storm Herald illuminated by a flash of lightning, the villagers knew they would be lucky to survive the night...Got the idea when I thought of the storm crows of a Native American myth, or something like that. Was trying to think of a theme for a dragon picture when I remembered it, so. Storm Herald. Basically, he preceeds storms that are particularly violent. Tried another no-outline picture. Constructive criticism would be appreciated. Just please don't mention how the bg is soft and the dragon is sharp. I know that, and there's nothing I can do to fix that save redoing one or the other. Which I don't have time for. Either way, please full view. Even the full view is only 20% of the original file size and a lot of the detail has been lost, but its better than the preview image.

Now this is just awesome. I love the lighting and the wings the best.
The first crit that I spotted is that on the dragon's right hand, the 'thumb' appears to be on the wrong side. That could easily be fixed with some more shading or just removing the thumb all together. The other thing I noticed is that the clouds, even if they were sharper, seem a bit too.. fluffy? I unno, maybe that's just personal preference

Holy frack lookit those wings. I can see the little details on them, the lines where the flaps attach from one segment to the other... and all of the rips and tears there are so nifty. I love that. I can tell you put gobs and gobs of time and effort into this picture. No black lineart is always cool, and the shading/lighting on the dragon is very dramatic. I love that, too. How you angled the 'spikes' from its back due to the curves in its spine is just one of the neatest things. A absolutely lovely composition!
Probably the only thing I'd say is weird about this, is that the claws of the dragon look a bit weird. I think it's because the arms just look like a big block, and it seems to be lacking bone structure there. However, the rest of it is fabulous, and deserves a

Wooow. o_o I love your colouring~~! What I also adore is the perspective and the pose of the dragon and the translucent wings are AWESOME. <3 I like how you kinda curved the colouring in the wings. *has no idea how to draw translucent wings. XD* The lightning shaped horns are cool. x3

That's a very exciting subject - a dragon in a lightning storm. I really appreciate the detail on the wings where you put curves to make the skin look realistic. And the eyes are really awesome. I torn between the idea of lightning coming out of it's eyes or that the eyes are translucent and you can just see the lightning through them.

Wow, both those ideas are good. I used to have a lightning ball in its mouth, but it ended up looking like a rubber ball...I'll have to see how both of those look, since they sound awesome.

Ooh, I <3 this! I like how the dragon is very sharply angled and how his wings are transluscent. The design of the dragon in general is cool (lightning bolt horns!). The color scheme is awesome, and although the background is a little generic, it works pretty well in this pic.

It looks really nice overall, especially the wings. Maybe you want to blur the lightning in the background? It's kinda sharp in contrast with the lightning directly behind the dragon and with the clouds.

Oh wow you did such a sweet job on this! I love it! The perspective is awesome, the wings look beautiful and the pose is perfect the lightning is a great touch
