Description
Wild Ohio whitetail fawn inside Dawes Arboretum in Licking County Ohio. My wife and I took the auto tour yesterday. We spotted this little girl lying under a bush. There was traffic behind us so we completed the tour and began it over again with the hope she hadn't moved. She hadn't, and this time we were alone. I stopped the car and got out moving much closer and lying on the ground with my trusty Minolta beer can lens. Hope you like it. I adjusted levels and cropped for compositional purposes in Photoshop CS2.Related content

She hung around quite awhile. I doubt she had ever seen a big overgrown hairy human with a 210mm eyeball growing out of the middle of his head laying prone in the grass. She was very curious.

Beautiful capture. I have a mother with twins in my back yard that I've been watching grow up. Fascinating!
