Not a great image, but certainly great memories.A couple of years ago we went to Kitchener/Waterloo area. Our friends took us on a bridge tour. At one point we came across this bridge and we were concerned that it would not hold the truck, because it was designed for buggies. So Arnold and I got out and walked across the bridge to check for any obvious problems. Unfortunately, I left my camera in the car. Just as we got to the end of the bridge, we turned around and there was a roar from the truck... Marg had gotten tired of waiting for us I suspect, so she rolled down the windows and charged across the bridge with the biggest grin I have ever seen. She made it and all was well. But because I had left my camera in the truck, I was not able to get the live action. Regardless, it created a lasting memory. (Marg passed away last month, so this post is in her memory).

We have roads in the very hilly part of Texas that were obviously cut so that two model A's could just pass. The expense of re-doing them means they will be there for awhile.

I suppose that is the same up here. Mainly the difference though is not expense as much as some roads just don't get the use so upgrading would be a waste.

These were depression era roads that cut through mountains to serve towns like Uvalde, I assume that before that people had to go a long way around. They had to blast, and the money and priority is just not there. I guess the roads work well enough now.
