I came across this cabin again yesterday (for perhaps the 100th time). I don't think I have ever posted a picture of it, but yesterday, the scene was outstanding to me. So... here it is. Let me know what you think.Taken with a Zeiss 35mm f2 lens.

Makes me think of the times when I was a kid on the farm. Walking those cornrows searching for where the water has gotten to and for gophers--the leaves leaving a hundred paper-cuts on my arms & legs and trailing a cloud of mosquitoes in my wake. Emerging at the end of the field and enjoying the coolness of the air compared to back along the rows. This makes me remember my uncle and the shovel he carried--the one that the blade was worn nearly away from the miles upon miles of end rows he dug and scooping blow sand out of cement ditches and the 4 rows of sweet corn he planted every year for late July eating and canning...how he died young shot through with cancer.
It also makes me think of the Cicadas song lulling me to sleep on a hot summer night after a hard day walking the corn rows.
Might be more and less than what you asked for, but it's what I think about your photo.

lol...I really likes your recollections John. The picture speaks to me as well, though with very different memories. In any event... the memories are good, that that is what a good picture should do... evoke memories.

A good corn crop is Knee High in July, this is a fine corn crop.....Great photo Wayne

the fields are looking great this year, we have had good rainfalls, and lots of heat. Other areas have not been so fortunate though.
