a very heavy camera, I have taken this one hiking with me, along with 3 lenses and a tripod. That is about 30 pounds of gear. I can still recall one trip in the desert.... (yes, a little known fact, Canada has a desert).

... certainly not known by me
It was when I did my first year of field work in Cyprus (for the PhD) my supervisor gave it to me and I was carrying it along at 42°C in the shade with my Canon SLR and rock specimens and water and .....
Looking at your pictures I started to wonder where those negatives might be ....

I am not sure if our desert ever gets that hot, and if it does probably nor for long periods. It is also a little known fact that Canada gets more earthquakes that any other country. They are all small, and they are all north, but they are apparently there.
If you were carrying the canon and the 67 in that heat, I figure you were pretty weighted down. One of the things I like about the 67 is its ability do do macro with the built in bellows. I have 3 lenses, a wide angle 50mm, a normal 90mm and a telephoto 180mm. They filled just about every gap for me.
I have negatives that span 30 years, most of them are stored in sleeves and somewhat organized.... but there are a couple I can't find.

for a long time, I have been wondering about how you would look like having your gender as "unknown" in your page made me unable to consider your sex in my comments to your deviations or articles, for a moment I thought that a woman is the owner of this amazing gallery, don't ask me why, for I have no idea actually
Looking great and its really nice to see you.
