i still use my 67 a lot, but when my 5D mkII get here on friday, the RB becomes a studio only camera. I may keep the digital back just for convenience. I'll probably sell it though, and just start shoting up my reserves of 220 film

I too used my 67 for just about everything, I used to hike with it and 3 lenses. But as I have gotten older, and as digital has gotten better, it just seems to make more sense to go that way. As studio camera, the 67 cannot be beaten in my opinion. Good luck with it.

The RB 67 and RZ too are work horses. This one is retired, though I still like the way it works and feels. What I like about them is that the format is larger than the Hasselblad and Rollei. Back in film days, film size was everything... especially if one made big prints.

yes indeed, when I needed an even larger format, I moved to a Linhoff 4x5. It still works too. I have explored the possibility of a digital back, but I don't see that for my work it would be that useful.

Yes I understand,
large format work can be challenging, (and rewarding) I can still remember working out effective f stops by taking detailed measurements from the film to lens plane in order to determine exposures and how critical focus was in some setup shots. But I must say, it is the kind of work I really enjoyed. Just talking about it gets the blood going and I want to break it out and shoot with it again. One of the thinks I liked about it though was the control one had in developing. Because each exposure can be done one at a time, contrast and detail can be fully controlled as long as detailed light EV measurements were taken. Now that I use digital, I find that I have the same (actually better) control. I feel like I have been waiting for the digital age all my life I find that my processing in digital is very much like one would do in large format work. I guess once that stuff is trained into you, it never lets go.
