I don't usually like photos of people (I don't know why), but this is more of an emotion captured. Someone who's tired, but not defeated-momentarily lost and waiting for strength to return to life, able to face the joys and the sorrows. ...don't know. Very nicely done.

I love pictures of people, but I seldom take them. I don't do them justice.
This is my love's cousin, she is an artist and this place is special to her. She took me there last summer and shared it with me. While she was sitting and thinking I took a couple of shots. There was no sadness that I was aware of, but I understand why people see that. Darlene did not know I was shooting, and I think I caugt her in one of those unguarded moments. As for being defeated, ashe is a very strong person, and one of my favourite cousins....life has not been easy, but she has not been defeated.
