Light by Blueskye27 [link]Foolish, I know.
My heart, striped by the
lashes of trust misplaced,
should know better,
but my feelings for you
seem as inevitable as the
sun rising in the east.
Thank you Cindy

You're welcome!
Wow, that sounds like a challenge. I'm glad that you achieved your goal! Sometimes getting that one great shot is only possible by taking hundreds of shots.

Actually is was not multiple shots, I think I took only one of this particular scene, the difficulty was the processing, the EV's were very high so balancing the light in theprocessing was the challenge. If I wanted detail in the sky, I lost the rocks and vise versa. Some new processing methods came to the rescue. Probably not a significant thing to others, but I had not used them before.

Wow, that sounds way above my level, but I hope to be able to do all that some day!

On the thumb this looks like a painting.
There's a sad element to this photo one of longing or of regret (things left unsaid or undone).

I guess one could see that, but I don't think that was present. Darlene is one of the most positive people I know. She is a great artist and friend. At the same time, we all have moments of unguarded reflection and rumination. I think I caught her in one of those times.

you are welcome Cindy.
I took this picture in August, and I have processed it many times and never been even close to satisfied with the results. I tried some of the new things I have been working on, and I am happier this time.
As always, i appreciate your support and willingness to collaborate.

I love not only the scene (the sky looks almost like watercolors) but the model, too. There's a sense of earthiness and wisdom about her that I can't really explain - it's more something I feel rather than can define.
Your support and collaborations have meant a lot to me, Wayne, so you can always count on mine.

The model is my love's cousin. She has been an artist her whole life. For most of it she has had her own studio and business, but in the last few years she made a change, closed her studio and does art part time. She works with inner city kids painting murals on walls, and has even traveled to Belize to do a mural.
This is a very special place for her. As a young woman, she spent many happy hours here with her group of friends. So the pictures was interesting to take. The shot was not set up in any way, in fact, she was not even aware that I was taking it.

That she didn't know you were even taking the picture makes it even better. It's wonderful.
