Not quite a westward looking shot... but you get the idea
While this land had been farmed for years, I still often get the feeling that the overall landscape is still very much like it would have appeared a hundred and more years ago.

The dome above the prairie is something that needs to be experienced. I am not sure that words or even a picture can ever really do it. The clouds hang in the sky... there is a depth to it that I have not seen in many other places.

I have lived under it for so many years I often take it for granted. Then I remember back to when a friend came out to visit. He was amazed by the clouds and sky and commented over and over during his visit. He woke me once again to the presence of it, and it is now never far any more.
