My fursona Wayra having a little snack.

Forced to run from her fresh kill after her victory over yet another hunter she can only lap at the blood that has pooled beneath her from her ravenous hunger. She kept on guard as she began to clean her paw. She ached from the fight, though she came out the victor, not all of the blood spilled was that of her enemy. She had a slight tear on her ear and three prominent cuts on her hip. Luckily these were not fatal and would heal with time and care. The hunter however was certainly dead, she had made sure of that with a bite to the back of the neck, crunching the vertebra in the neck and strangling her hunter.
Why did they hunt her? Did they have something against her personally? No, they were in search of something. A particular item she keeps with her at all times. A key. Nothing more, nothing less, just a simple key. People fantasize about what the key goes to, money knowledge, there was a roomer among the hunters at one point that the key was used to unlock the passage to the world of the dead, thus earning her the nickname Gravekeeper among some hunters, but these are all just theories, dismissed and rediscovered as theories commonly are.
Her prized skeleton key hung from her neck beneath a bloody mat of hair. What mysteries does it keep locked? What mysteries may it yet unlock? Many have died trying to find out and there are many who are still willing to die. It must be a true treasure for someone to place it in the care of such a demonic brute or perhaps it is all just a cruel joke and the key is just that, a key. Perhaps it has a trivial purpose like unlocking a pantry or a great purpose such as defying death. Not even the one who guards the key knows.
She continues to clean the blood from her paw as she watches other hunters trying to salvage the corpse of their fallen comrade. She’s leaving for now but her hunger will urge her to strike again this time with numbers on her side. She won her battle, now she’s ready to claim her prize…

As i was coloring the picture i studied her expression a little more and to me she has that look of
"oh yeah, laugh now but i'm gonna kill you while you sleep"
in her eyes.

This story has a tiny bit of my life thrown in. I have a skeleton key that i keep with me almost all the time, i have no clue what it unlocks or why i even keep it but i just feel drawn to it.
