Description
After Lara finally arrived at the ancient ruins she'd been searching for, she found that Trinity had already made it there before her, and the whole place was full of Trinity soldiers. Despite her best efforts to stay hidden, it didn't take them long to find her. Being completely outnumbered with no way to escape, she was forced to surrender and give up her equipment. The soldiers then had her tied up and gagged to prevent her from slipping away.

Luckily for Lara, the soldiers didn't do the best job of tying up her legs, and the ropes around her ankles slow began to come undone. Seeing an opportunity to escape, she waited for the soldiers to turn their backs, and started scurrying towards where her gear was being kept, doing her best to stay out of sight. If she could just reach her climbing axe and bow, she might be able to cut herself free and make an escape...

So this render is part of a collaboration between myself and PerilChaser ! I was really excited to do this because I really love their work and it was a great opportunity to be able to work on something together. We went back and forth for a while trying to decide on how exactly the collaboration would work and what characters/universe to do. Eventually we settled on doing a two-part series based on Tomb Raider. We decided that I'd do the first image, while PerilChaser did the second.

It was really fun coming up with ideas, sending updates and feedback to each other as we shared ideas and added things from the other's work into our own and just generally bouncing off each other the whole time. This is the first time I've done anything collaborative since I've started on DA. It was a pretty great experience, and hopefully you all enjoy what we came up with!
