Wow, I guess I got a little carried away with making this character. It's just that I had this idea in mind for quite some time, and it seemed to fit for my TideClan leader tryout.
A while ago someone on my warriors site had the name Starpaw. I asked her to change her name, because cats in the Clans don't name their kittens Starkit. This made me think. What if a kit was named Starkit. Would that be another way of saying that this kit could never become a leader? So I came up with this story and gave it to Lavenderheart. I hope I stand a chance, there are already so many amazing leader tryouts.

All the history I've written isn't RPed in CotN. It's all part of my fantasy and I came up with it. This dialogue with Ripplestar might have happened, but doesn't has to be the same as I've written. I do not own Ripplestar and I don't know if Lavender is even going to be deputy.
If she isn't then Ripplestar just changed her name. I'll edit this when she's not and then like to RP with her as a normal TideClan cat. (well, normal.. xD )

When there's a battle to be fought you'll find her fighting for her Clan, doesn't matter if it's against another Clan or against sickness. Though this she-cat might seem confident of everything she does on the outside, she's actually quite insecure on the inside. Due to the old prophecy about her she finds it hard to believe she's the right leader for TideClan, but she'll never show and always remains strong towards others. This is what makes her a born leader.

Lavenderheart was born in a litter of two. Just before Cherryblossom, their mother, had her kits, their father got a message from StarClan about Lavenderheart. They whispered a strange prophecy in his ears and ordered him to name the she-cat, Starkit. Blizzardfrost followed the orders from StarClan and named his second kit Starkit. With this name, she was never be able to become a leader. The only cat who ever heard the exact prophecy, was the TideClan leader. When the kits were younger, it didn't matter what their names were. Starkit and Lynxkit were always on each-others side. But they couldn't stay ignorant forever.

A few kits darted out of the nursery. Starkit smiled and hurled after them.
'Lets play FlameClan' one of the kits said. The others bounced around him with excitement.
'Yes, that's a great idea! Can I be leader this time?' Starkit mewed to the others. They held still and watched her. The little tom spoke.
'Yeah... And you want to name yourself Starstar' he sneered.
'That's the worst leader name I've ever heard' laughed another kit. Starkit took a few paces back and then ran off to her mother in the nursery.

When Lynxkit and Starkit became apprentices, the two began to grow apart. Lynxpaw got his father as his mentor and from then on, started to spend time with him so much, that Starpaw barely spoke to him anymore. Though the other kits had made fun of her while she was a kit, she wasn't prepared to give up. As apprentice she trained really hard, tried to learn every move she could, improving her hunting techniques everyday. Although no one, not even StarClan, believed in her, she tried to believe in herself and wanted to show everyone that she could be a leader too. After moons of training, she and her brother became warriors, named Lynxgaze and Starwhisper. Both of them were fine warriors, but somehow Lynxgaze seemed to get all the compliments and special tasks. Starwhisper saw everything happen and tried even harder to prove herself. She got her first apprentice 3 moons after Lynxgaze got his one. And then disaster struck.

'The deputy is dead!' someone called. Starwhisper padded out of her den and watched in horror as a limp body was dragged into the camp. The cats around her began to whisper. Some looked at her.
'She wanted to be leader so badly, could she...' The she-cat overheard some cats talking. Her eyes sparkled with anger. She knew exactly what they thought! They thought she had done it, so that she could have a chance to be deputy! Or as revenge for something that she'd never be. Starswhisper turned around padded back to the den and lay down in her nest.

Some cats looked at her as if she'd killed their deputy, but Starwhisper knew she hadn't. Soon she found out that her brother had set his eyes on the deputy rank too. She'd wished him luck, knowing that he'd probably get this rank. He looked so perfect, her father had trained him well. He was what she wasn't, a born leader. Later that evening, when the sun began to set, she got a visit form Ripplestar. Starwhisper was surprised when her leader called her for a evening walk.

'Why would you ask me to come on a walk, Ripplestar?' she asked him. They'd left the camp and were now walking beside the pools. Pink light of the evening sky reflected in the clear water and gave the world around them a pinkish glow.
'You're asking this because of what the others think, right? Well, then I'm here to say that I don't believe them' he answered. Starwhisper looked at him in surprise. He didn't believe them!
'But why didn't you just tell me. Why did you take me on this walk?' she mewed. He confused her, mostly because he was putting more trust in her than anyone had ever done.
'Actually, I wanted to give you a chance. One you've never had in your life. I'd like to change your name' he mewed and then looked at her. Starwhisper's eyes grew round as moons. Ripplestar wanted her to have a new name?! He was actually saying that, that he wanted her to give her a chance to become deputy, like she always wanted. The leader smiled and Starwhisper followed him in silence.

Soon the two came back to camp. The cats watched them with suspicious eyes, still thinking Starwhisper was keeping something behind. She didn't mind anymore, Ripplestar had said he'd give her a new name. The leader leaped on his rock and gathered the Clan around him. Starwhisper sat down beneath the rock, stars shimmering above her. Lynxgaze watched his sister with a confused look.
'By the powers of StarClan I'll give this brave cat a new name. For I know that her destiny lies elsewhere than all of us thought. Starwhisper, from now on you'll be named Lavenderheart' his voice rang through the clearing. The TideClan cats let out surprised cries. But some of them chanted her new name. Lavenderheart felt her skin grow hot. Her fur was fluffed up with pride. Ripplestar moved his tail.
'Silence! I still have one more thing to do. I have to name the new deputy' he said. Lavenderheart saw Lynxgaze standing proud and tall. Would her brother become the new deputy? All the eyes of her Clanmates were focused on Ripplestar.
'Let StarClan hear my choice and approve. The new deputy of TideClan will be Lavenderheart!'
Lavenderheart couldn't believe what he'd just said. She? the new deputy of TideClan? He had to be joking! First giving her a chance and than what she wanted the most.

So Starwhisper became Lavenderheart and the new deputy of TideClan. Even though she'd reached what she wanted, it wasn't easy now. Her Clanmates still didn't trust her except for a few cats. But the worst was that her brother Lynxgaze didn't talk to her anymore. Every time she saw him, he padded away without saying a word. StarClan had forbidden her from becoming a leader, so why did Ripplestar chose her as his deputy. This was the same question, Lavenderheart asked herself over and over. One day, Ripplestar asked her to come to his den for something really important. Lavenderheart obeyed his orders and appeared in his den to hear what he had to say.
'I kept something hidden for a while. A prophecy that I got from StarClan. Before I made you my deputy they came to me and said that; Stars shatter when a destiny is predicted wrong, hope will fade when the lavender loses its leaves. But Ripples will send droplets of hope and in the end the lavender will bloom as never before..'
