Taken on a rainy day at cloud-level (4000ft) in British Columbia while fighting fire in the Fraser River Canyon last summer..This is what a forest inside a cloud looks like.

I wasn't lucky enough to see this when I was in BC. That's why I'm glad someone like you captured it and shared. I've only seen mountains in the clouds from across the road, never inside. Awesome!

the only reason I was up there was to fight a forest fire ... was a tough slug ... anyway I'm really glad you took the time to notice it ... btw I shot this with a shitty old 35mm

The way you see the landscape reminds me of the German Romantics like Caspar David Friedrich.
You have got a really great gallery !!!

Rain and fog coming in while fighting the beast. Gotta love that turn of event. (I live in the mountains of Southern California in the middle of the San Bernardino National Forest with a viscous fire season here so I have a better than usual understanding of wildfires for a normal civilian) Hopefully it was not too hard a rain causing land slides. (The double edge sword of nature).
My heart goes out to you and all fire fighters...some of the last true heroes left my friend. Godspeed to you and you fellow brethren! Thank you for all you do.

This has such a wonderful atmosphere! It looks like paradise! You wouldn't think with it being that humid, you'd have much trouble with forest fires.
