i love how i've seen this image (or one with the same idea, anyways) a thousand times before, and even shot it once or twice, but it looks so much more interesting your way. the lighting, i think, adds a lot, because the high and low lights coming from the right side add depth. it's also cool how, in shots like this, you usually see a somber girl dressed in a black victorian style dress at the end, but instead there are a bunch of surfers scattered throughout the image. it's unexpected, and that makes it more exciting to look at.
