Gotta get it tidied!Art Notes:
I wanted to draw a character in a mid-90s style. I don't think I totally succeeded, but it was fun to try out. Artistically, I'm not really in tune with the mid-late nineties- I'm closer to the eighties and the modern looks when I try to draw. There are many little quirks in that period of time that I'm not good at emulating.
Anyways, I drew this in Manga Studio 5.

Thanks for the note- I was going for that more angular look, but I've adjusted the foot now to be a bit more my normal style. Like I said, I struggle with some of the nuances of the era.
I'm glad you liked the pic! You just named a bunch of series I like as well (though to be honest I preferred the Ranma episodes from the late eighties early nineties, esp. the first season). El-Hazard was a real favorite of mine, along with Slayers (of course). I was always impressed by the work that went into El-Hazard's backgrounds. I got to thinking I'd buy a book just of those paintings.
