Continuing on the theme of my previous picture, it's Rainbow Dash in Wonderland... Reenacting the "painting the roses red" scene, in her own way.For such a simple seeming background, it drove me nuts trying to get right. I still don't even really like the rose bush, actually - the roses are more blurred than I'd like - but it's not too far from what I had in mind, so I'm gonna just go with it.

How did you do the grass in this pic? I like it a lot.

Started with a fairly blurry background of fairly close but subtly different mixed shades of green to create the variations in lightness, then a lot of smudge tool to paint the individual blades of grass. That's basically it.

I'll be honest with you, I'm unfamiliar with a pony named "Spectrum Flash". I don't know much about the OC pony scene, though, I've really just stuck to canonical material in the sources and concepts I draw from as inspiration in my own fan art / fan writing.
Not to say that the fan work, characters, and creations that are out there aren't freakin' awesome (because they are), I just kinda like to do my own thing and let it develop on its own instead of getting mired in preexisting fandom extracanonical conventions.
