He Made Me SmileHe was like a large teddy bear, all wrapped up in Christmas paper for you. Just when you thought no one cared in the world – there he appeared bounding happy and caring, a gentleman to you.
And he sat there and said such wonderful things - how smart you were and "hey look at this" and you could almost guess what his family makeup was. He had a brother for sure, but no sisters. You could tell by his confidence and his smile that it was internally happy. Just everything about him was happiness and deep caring. And you deeply cared back.
You could get lost in his ways – how he worried about you and cared for you and wanted to be there for yo

A very neat contraption. I wonder if it's a flying machine of some sort.

Looking at this, the butterflies could make it fly if inclined and a bit of imagination used. Neat tip

Even thought I can’t personally relate to brain injuries, this image sent shivers down my spine. It’s a really powerful image and you did so well in capturing that power. Keep up the great work!

beyond blue...I'm not sure if the metaphor is intentional but I love it anyway.

Hi there, I just chose it for the look, and no reference to "blue" or such. THanks

Beautiful piece! I'm sorry about your accident - makes me shudder when I see so many children riding without helmets in Spain

Thanks - here now it is compulsory to have helmets, unfortunately at the time I was injured, no such rule existed. Thanks for use of your stock.

This is just fantastic.
I suffered a traumatic brain injury a couple of years ago..,when I'm trying to speak, I can't always find the right words anymore, or at least not very quickly. So frustrating, and then it frustrates the people around me, which makes me even more frustrated.
This is just...such a great depiction of that.

Thanks for your comment. The image represents bikes - my injury was caused by bike accident - and the dice represent the brain injury itself - it is size of a dice, so you will see dice used to represent this. Glad this work spoke to you. I wish you well in your recovery - the meds I have used in past have terrible side effects including memory issues as you describe. My brain injury causes seizures. Thanks

I suppose it spoke to me partly because my injury was caused by a car accident, so the wheel and tires remind me of that.
I don't have to take any medication anymore, but I did suffer from aphasia, and that does not seem like it will ever really completely go away. I'm so sorry that you still have to take meds for that, and that you have suffered from seizures. That sounds awful. I think you had a much worse injury than I did.
Thank you again for posting this. It really is powerful.

Please check out my other works - they are more descriptive of this one. My issues come and go. I have meds now, before I did not it was a lot worse. Some meds I have tried were ridiculous. THanks - chekc out my writings and such at my facebook on www.facebook.com/tinawhiteauth… - I use the seizures in my writings.
Thanks
