Description Just felt like drawing Prin in a bathing suit. I suppose I should invent some sort of excuse.

How's this?...

"The retreat was mostly a success. Thanks to Prin's delaying action, the rest of the squad was able to evacuate the maids. But now the master sergeant is alone, in Fremp territory. Her Scramble Gown with it's power depleated is just a fancy encumberance--she's down to her Jet Knife*.

The most illogical thing she could do right now is attack. And against robots, you always go with the illogical choice."

Just a thought.

*Jet Knife: AMAZON standard plasma cutter. Envisioned here by Korblborp.

She's very petite! "The uniform makes the man," or so some say. But it would seem that for Prin, it's what's inside that counts.

also, more logical choice of plot

Ah, an expression that say's "someone is gonna get burned!" - laser burned that is
It's interesting this idea of Prin going all "guerrila style" on the pursueing robots - it's a nice change from her normal aproach - and shows the versatility of one of the best members of the AMAZON forces.

Yea, I thought it would be good to show that Prin isn't respected and feared just because she has enough equipment and guns to make her a flying pink tank, but rather she is given the best equipment because she's so dangerous and resourceful.

And it gives me a nice excuse to draw her in a bathing suit. The interesting thing about that is drawing a woman with modest endowments. Definitely not my usual subject. I suppose I'll have to draw Air Marshal Masters in a bathing suit later to get back up to speed.

Anti88 In reply to we-r-nomad [2011-12-26 13:50:58 +0000 UTC]

Indeed - the guns and equipment are just a complement to her fierce personality.

You drawn both types of women - modest and well endowed - very well And a drawing of Air Marshal Masters in a bathing suit would make many of your watchers and fans happy - although I can't see a situation in which the Air Marshal would wear one - high raking officers in the beach/water just remind me of the surfing scene in "Appocalipse Now!"

Yea, I don't see Andrea Masters grabbing a stick and shooting the curl with her troops, although it would be fun to stage a scene like that with BUNI's and RABIT's.

Hmmm, I do have a ground commander I haven't drawn yet--Field Marshal Strawberry. I want her to be more of a soldier's commander, perhaps she could do something like that.

It would work, because Strawberry is a dark skinned woman whose arms and legs have light patches where she physically pulled off restraint tape to stay in the fight. A bathing suit scene would provide an opportunity to show her unique battle scars. In many ways Strawberry is Masters' diametric opposite.

Yes, such a scenario could be quite interesting - perhaps an extraction situation with a BUNI or RABBIT retrieving half captured women while the Air Marshal in swimsuit (no explanation for that ) is fighting the bots of.

A Field Marshal you say!? Interesting
Can't wait to meet the lady - she seems to have an interesting story herself - not to mention the possibility to see another endowed female drawn in your style.

Prin's expression is perfect, "Trust a machine to think the fight is all about the metal."

and i have one thing to say about the prospect of Prin being maidified: there is little to no chance she wouldn't be strong-willed enough to manage to 'accidentally' give herself a headwound while cleaning that just happens to bash the chip on a protruding sharp object. And then she will bash other chips. And then all hell will break loose.

I debated over whether or not to have her hair droop like it should after being immersed in a lake, but I feared it may not visually "read" as Prin, so I went with the normal look.

In later pics, I'll probably go with the wet look, since it'll probably look more badass.

Now now, I'm certain that in the future hair-care products will be far more advanced than they are today. Likely more than capable of maintaining hold while swimming in Robolord-infested waters.

Will probably also double as sunscreen.

we-r-nomad In reply to Firest [2011-12-24 16:37:56 +0000 UTC]

Well the sea-bots usually operate in much deeper water than this, but I can't imagine that the Fremps wouldn't have developed a submersible mecha for shallow water operations--like swimming pools and beaches.

Gotta get those bikini babes.

I can see the scenario:

Prin leads the drones on a merry chase through the dense foliage. She runs at a crouch, to confuse the robot's infrared imagizers. Many deer and other moderate sized mammals are mummified by roving RTD's.

The mechs eventually find her empty Scramble Gown. It's obviously abandoned, but they robots gather around it to look for clues as to Prin's direction. Even if they can't secure the young woman, they can make use of the technology that has caused them so much chaos.

Submerged in a nearby stream, Prin triggers the self-destruct on her Thunderbuss, and the entire clearing disappears in a blue flash. It was a shame to sacrifice the electric rifle, but it was too heavy to carry without the strength augmentations of the Scramble Gown anyway.

Scratch ten more drones.

Prin continues through the frigid stream, remaining in a low crouch, with just her eyes and nose above the water line. She doesn't notice the ripple of water slowing approaching from behind...

not really, but i can see her having her own "hunting ground" while they are trying to get her, kind of like the series of traps at the end of the first predator movie.

rather appropriate given how much larger and tougher the bots are than she is without her armor

"I'll be back."

The two surviving drones watched as the the (not so) "Litle RABIT Fu'fu" bounded over the far hills, their quarry glaring back at them from the passenger compartment. The Prinator's parting comment, broadcast over the CASEVAC's PA system, still echoed in the valley.

Local median humidity around the lower motive appendages of Drone C-836 increased, and it turned its photoreceptors to its companion, Drone H-3892. The chassis of H-3892 was shaking as if from a residual effect from a SWITCH gun. C-836 diected its photoreceptors downward to investigate the source of the increased local humidity. A puddle of oil was on the dirt ground beneath H-3892. The other drone had voided its oil reserves at the Prinator's final message. C-836 couldn't really blame it.

*looks at picture* I'm sorry, Scramble Gown or no, the sight of Prin in even this state of undress should be a clear warning sign to any recruitment drone! That sign is either 'Look But Don't Touch,' or 'YIELD.'

... So I have to ask, how well-known are the personnel of AMAZON known outside of the circles of those who believe in the FMP "urban legend?" We already know that the group of people who believe the FMP to be true (and they're right) is so small within the Human sphere of influence that AMAZON and the Mechalytes get lumped into one single large sort of cosplay/LARP/cult/conspiracy theory/Amway group. But outside of the ranks of AMAZON, are any of them known?

Might there be collectors of certain recruitment posters? Is there resale value to a candid shot of Air Marshal Masters brandishing her crop? (Taken out of context, of course; she was torqued at a fly that had been buzzing her for the past hour, had lost her patience, and was flailing at it with the first thing she happened to have in her hand.) Is there bootleg cheesecake of Lt. Shelley? (In that black G-suit, Great Bird and Maker, I hope so!) And does Prin have a scattered and (mercifully (for her)) disorganized following?

*looks at the side of the page* Cool! A group!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

we-r-nomad In reply to Caraig [2011-12-24 05:50:12 +0000 UTC]

They'd probably sell well amongst the admiralty f MASA who knows full well that FMP is real. However, the riding crop pictures would have to be distributed well out of the sight of Admiral Masters.

Prin would probably have a fan club within AMAZON. Recruits and such who joined because of her rumored exploits.

And the robots should yield. Especially after they lose a squad of drones to the booby traps Prin left in her Scramble Gown, but their faith in their numerical advantage will prove hubristic.

Caraig In reply to we-r-nomad [2011-12-24 17:19:55 +0000 UTC]

*signs up for bootleg pictures of Admiral Masters and hopes to not drift into gunsights of anyone from AMAZON anytime soon*

I can see the MASA admiralty being partly amused by AMAZON even while they're collecting such images, with a side of wistfulness that AMAZON will be wiped out eventually. If only those crazy women would just accept that working with the FMP would be better for Humanity as a whole...
I remember you mentioning that Prin has such a fan club. Probably embarrasses her to no end. Fortunately that does not seem to hinder her fieldcraft skills... or her combat prowess.

... Good heavens, its probably a good thing that the FMP hasn't discovered a way to tap the revenue stream that (a) bootleg cheesecake and (b) recruitment-in-progress videos might garner them. o_o

Another oddball question: We've seen female MASA admirals and the UCCE doesn't seem completely against women in higher office or positions. How do the females of MASA "in the know" about FMP react to it? (Or is it time for the MST3K mantra? ^_^ )

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

we-r-nomad In reply to Caraig [2011-12-25 01:07:31 +0000 UTC]

I should clarify:

Air Marshal Masters is a curvy, long legged, short-skirted head of AMAZON's air forces; who rules with an iron fist and a vicious riding crop. Admiral Masters is her father, and in charge of the Thunderchilde, MASA's largest and most powerful Ship-of-the-Line.

While the fissure between father and daughter that resulted in Andrea's defection to AMAZON has more than strained their relationship, old man Seth is still none too keen of his colleagues ogling pictures of his kid. And Andrea learned to keep troops on their toes through exotic punishments from her old man. That's why purveyors of such pictures need to steer clear of the admiral.

Of course Seth does keep himself in trim, rigorous shape, despite his age. Some folks might want pictures of him--the aforementioned female admirals perhaps.

But about the females. There is a old boy network that keeps them from learning too much, and acquiring too much power. That's right, the glass ceiling has followed man into space. However they still learn some things, and help AMAZON where they can. Where do you think they got all the Heater pistols, afterall?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

we-r-nomad In reply to korblborp [2011-12-26 05:48:36 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm, good point.

I suppose then it's just a case of MASA's corrupt, human trafficking right hand, not letting the left hand know what its doing. Because, come to think of it, it wouldn't only be female flag-officers, but actually honest male officers, who'd have to be kept in the dark on the true nature of FMP.
