Description
During the mass "recruitment" of the Maidifiables aboard the late MCI Hegemon, it was discovered that a member of their medical staff had a near pathological fear of intelligent machines.The illogic inherent in including someone with such a limitation upon an expedition to assault a machine dominated planet was so profound it actually presented a legitimate danger to the mechanisms of the boarding party.
Nurse Shawna was the last crewmember to be collected, because several RTD's had to be reprogrammed to understand that her inclusion in the crew was so illogical that it became dangerous, and was therefore logical, considering the Hegemon's mission.
It took the sacrifice of 107 RTD core processors before the programming language was found to deal with the problem, at which point, Nurse Shawna was "recruited" in the standard manner.

They are FMP'sΒ signature weapon, allowing potential maids to be incapacitated swiftly, and from a distance.
The only countermeasure the Anti Maidifaction ArmyΒ has against them, is to were Slipsuits, special uniforms, resistant to adhesive.
Of course the trade off is that the wet look sheen of the AMAZONΒ combat uniforms, is that their latex like appearance makes the wearer even more appealing to the optics of their would-be captors.

Interesting action shot there. Nice use of colors as well, the border lending to the impending "doom" of the incoming tapers... Makes them look more menacing since they're the only black items in the entire frame....

Question about the FMP's er... regard for it's own forces. When capturing a mechanical space craft, it has been stated that the FMP considers the ship (and perhaps stand alone machinery contained within) to be something of a mix between "long lost cousin" and "conscripted POW" and measures are taken to assure the "enslaved" vessel is treated well. As the vast majority of these vessels are not sentient, there exists a conflict between the preservation of enemy hardware and the preserving of friendly forces. I'm assuming a "robot citizen" wouldn't be called upon to be destroyed in securing a shuttlecraft, but how do the "lower forms" of A.I. rank on the intelligence & social scale?
Does a RTD reflect on the artistry of it's wrappings or simply execute a program? Do Seekers dream? Or are they non-sentient AIs? I have the mental image of RTDs being the "annoying yappy lapdog" of the FMP-verse...
