In my opinion, I think Pitou is a Girl
I think when Togashi design characters , He dont get its hard to look what his(her) gender is. or make its' more complicated without a reason.(except Kaluto who was revealed in a guidebook later is a boy.
)
So I don't think that character have gender bending if there're no sign in a story

But it was always said that the Zoldycks only have sons so Karuto was always a boy. The chimera ants are all men. Even the ones that look like women are men. Only the queen is female.

i realy thought pitou was a girl to till in the manga they called him a him
