Description
This is a very late gift art for my very dear mate, ~chibi-schnurri It features Captain Ginyu and her OC, Bass.I'm glad I got to draw another pic of Ginyu. He's one of my favourite DBZ characters. I find most of the DBZ villains, particularly the ones who appear in later sagas, to be completely one dimensional. They do bugger all for my imagination. Ginyu, however, is a far more intriguing villain.
Apparently in one of the Budokai games, Sauza learns a secret about Captain Ginyu and holds it over him, which led me to develop a backstory for Ginyu. Admittedly this has always been the story I had in mind for him, but I developed it a bit more after I found out about Sauza. In a nutshell, it's a crime story focusing around the murder of Ginyu's wife and children (not Bass, someone else from the years before Ginyu became a pirate). The murderer responsible was in fact Zarbon's uncle, but it gets a bit complicated from there on. I just like the idea of Ginyu having a tragic past - having once been a well respected man, losing everything he loved, and then becoming a feared space pirate. Adventurous, no?
I'll transfer it into fanfic format sooner or later. ^^

Well this was originally an image from a DBZ doujinshi a copied which featured a younger Ginyu in his training armour, which was similar to Bardock's.

Well that's just my own story for Ginyu. According to the Budokai games, Sauza knows a secret about Ginyu, hence their bitter rivalry, but what that secret is no one knows, so I made up my own story.

That's the infuriating part - it's NEVER revealed in the games! At least, not that I'm aware of.

I don't believe such bullshit I only rely on anime series. When I read some bullshit on dbz wiki I just want to throw up (for example) It was said that Sauza competed with Ginyu for the leadership of Ginyu Force (But Sauza has so high power level that Ginyu wuldn't have any chance) Oh well.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I got equally annoyed when I read something on wiki which stated Sauza, Zarbon and Jeice are of the same race. -_-
I'm not too sure as this is a relatively new idea I'm devising. But I will let you know! I was also going to ask if you would like me to feature her in my current fanfic, "Rumbuggery!" - Sauza is going to feature heavily soon, and he needs a love interest.

Oh, that would be wonderful, thanks!! Basically "Rumbuggery!" is a complete Alternate universe. It focuses on the Ginyu Force who are framed for the murder of King Kold by Frieza in order to give him an excuse to go to war with the kingdom of Vegeta-sei.
The story takes place on the one planet, with each species living on separate continents (for example, Ice-jins live on one continent and Saiyans live on another, and they are frequently at war with one another). It is far more similar to Dragonball than DBZ, being quite lighthearted and driven by characters and plot rather than fighting.
In the story, Sauza is an infamous assassin and the real culprit responsible for Kold's murder. He was contracted by Frieza. For much of the story, Sauza will appear as a villain, but I want him to have a backstory to make him more two-dimensional. I thought that perhaps he had been contracted to kill Zaria, but instead fell in love with her and could not go through with it. What do you think?

Thanks very much for the lovely compliment! I use a pretty simple and little-known program called ULead. No where near as good as PSP etc., but it's better than mspaint. ^^
