I'm still working on my fic (it means far too much to me to just give up), it's all a matter of trying to find time/energy to sit down and write it. I've just graduated from university and I'm working plus applying to lots of career-making jobs so I've just been knackered 24/7 lately.

I think it's cute~ X3 I'm rather happy to have found SOMEONE who doesn't make Fred completely OOC when paired with an OC (god so many of those *shudder*)

Oh god, aye. I don't think OOC-Fred is just seen in Fred/OC pairings though. One of the reasons I stopped reading Fred romance fics was that I found the majority of it so out of character, or that the character he was paired with was OOC (e.g. every Fred/Hermione fic I've ever read has portrayed Hermione as very OOC, which is fine and each their own, but I personally prefer reading fic where the canon characters are as IC as possible).
Tbh, I don't think I'm very good at portraying IC Fred & George in my art, mainly because my HP art is mostly silly fluff, but I try my best to keep them in character in my fic. Whether I'm successful or not.. XD

True, but I use the term IC to refer to the writers/fanartists who make a solid attempt at portraying the twins as they were portrayed in the books. Of course, there are always going to be minor differences in the way each reader reads the characters.
