Ragna's father, a Sandslash, died when she was very young, killed by a rogue Absolution Pokemon. Her Lucario mother raised her with every intent of making sure her daughter didn't succumb to the same fate. Whenever Ragna wasn't training with her mother, she was getting into trouble and doing stupid stunts. It was in doing these stupid stunts that she met Ash, a Chimchar at the time, and the two became best friends. Eventually she evolved through the power of their ~friendship~ and the two ended up travelling together (and being general jackasses together) until they heard of the Survivalists and their renowned power, and thus came to Aster Village with the intent of kicking ass and taking names.
Personality:
True to her nature, Ragna is rash and impulsive and totally cocky and a huge daredevil. She is incredibly blunt and definitely a huge jerk. She can't resist showing off and doesn't know when to shut her stupid mouth and never EVER admits she is wrong EVER. #1 Pokemon always ready to start a fight.

Ash's parents (their mother an Infernape, their father an Arcanine) have always been supportive of them, but admittedly, their love of their child can be a bit blinding. Ash was always the kind of Pokemon to fall in with the wrong crowd, and by "wrong crowd," I mean a certain Riolu named Ragna. Even through the bumps and bruises, the two became best friends, fighting together and doing dumb parkour stuff together until they both evolved. Eventually they left home and traveled together until they heard of the Survivalists and their renowned power, and thus came to Aster Village with the intent of kicking ass and taking names.
Personality:
Ash is generally considerably more pleasant to be around than their partner. Fairly go with the flow and usually upbeat, Ash can fill any room with their contagious laughter. Truly loyal and the #1 friend to do stupid shit with you. However, Ash is insanely competitive and can turn anything into a competition and THEN it is ON. Definitely not above cheating and dirty tactics, Ash will do anything to win.
