You can not use Raymond. You can not imply your character is Raymond. You can not state your character used to be Raymond. Raymond is my character, he is mine to use as I please. He is not yours. And if I say that you can not use him, that means you can not use him, full stop, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. So long as you understand that, there shouldn't be a problem. Since you edited the paragraphs that used to directly connect your Raymond to mine, I assume that you do, in fact, understand this.

However, this little project of yours does not have my blessing. I do not like that you are doing this, but it seems that I literally cannot stop you. If your character gets called out for being a clone, or a copy, of mine, I will not defend you. If people ask me about it, I will point to these posts, where I have done my best to ask you, nicely, to reconsider this course of action.

Also, umbrage is a noun.

I apologize that sarcasm does not clearly translate through the internet, but I actually wasn't bothered by you calling him a sue. I called him a sue right back as a joke. I can't tell you why Raymond worked but your character didn't. Difference in writing style, perhaps? I stated that there was something very Not Right about Raymond from his first appearance, I tried to play up the sinister aspects of his character, but also played my cards close to my chest. Less is more, sometimes.

All that I askED for is it okay with you if I make a character who's a Zangoose called Raymond? I'm still asking you what colour I should make his headgear because I want you to choose the colour.

I do understand that you seriously don't want me to use your Raymond that's why I decided to change that my Raymond never was your Raymond. Plus how am I meant to tell that you're being sarcastic in text without hinting that it's meant to be sarcastic? If in actual speaking then I can pick up the sarcasm. My apology was wasted for sarcasm then?

Plus I'm not wanting blessing for my "project", I'm just introducing it because it's my imagination finally coming into reality, which I've never done before, and I just wonder if it sounds interesting or not, whether you are or not doesn't actually affect it, I was just asking for your opinion, not blessing. What more do you want me to say? That I'm sorry for having an imagination? (I'm not saying or implying that you don't) I'm sorry, but your reply just seems so hostile that it's bringing me close to tears, literally. No, not because you don't want me to use your Raymond, but because it seems that you are sort of trying to force me to change my imagination, which I have multiple times now, because of a character you own, but it's gotten to a point where you don't want me to make anything to do with TF villains.

I get it, you don't want me to use your Raymond, make it seem my character is your Raymond or used to be which is why I changed the story because I suspected that this would happen. I'm starting to think you're also showing me that I have no power and that you do because you got lots of followers and now that I'm making my own TF villains, you want me banned immediately and you can because you have a better membership to this site and have thousands of submissions and can upload a lot more frequently because you have the advantage of using more advanced computer image making/editing programs and more free time, but the only computer image editing softwares I can use is MS paint, which people hate. But I can't help not being good at computer stuff or how online memberships work. I'm not asking for sympathy or help to get a better membership or better computer skills or more free time in my life, but I am now predicting that you think I want to plunge you down and steal your glory, which I don't by the way, so you must use any means necessary to take me down. Prove me wrong if I am wrong on my prediction.

I never wanted it to go to this where my ideas and imagination are being attacked. I get it, I won't use your Raymond for anything. Now, my TF OC is still a Zangoose, no goggles and now a different name because it seems that you will immediately attack me if my character  has any of the following match Raymond:
Species
Accessories
Names

But now all three are different because my character is now:
Species - Zangoose (different from Raymond)
Accessories - Red scarf, bionic foot and a regular headband instead of goggles (different from Raymond's black goggles) I know that I originally wanted him to wear goggles, but as you requested I reconsidered my choices
And name - Rikey (Not Raymond)
Now none of these traits match your Raymond

The worst thing I could have done is just use your Raymond without even asking you first. Don't you see? If I need to use someone else's work, I ask for consent instead of just diving head first into it. Your Raymond in appearance and existence now has nothing to do with MY Rikey character or his partner.

The only question about MY ORIGINAL character is what colour do you want his headband to be? I'm still letting you choose something for my colour but you don't hold ownership to any colour.

I'm sorry for asking for your permission for things instead of just using it without permission whether it was needed or not. I'm sorry when I looked for images made by a deviantartist whose account has been deactivated, that images from you appeared in the "related" section.

This is what I now predict that you want. I may be wrong, I want to be wrong.
I never wanted it to extend to this. It now seems you think I want to steal things from you and now you see me as an enemy. I don't want us to be enemies all because of an idea. No, I'm mad at how much you don't want me to use your characters, but now hostile you now SEEM towards my ideas.

All I ultimately ask for just what colour do you want me to make Rikey's headband? And is my prediction wrong? I DO want it to be wrong.
When I get an answer, I can die in peace (no I'm not going to kill myself).

I'm not attacking you at all, but it seems that now you are hostile to every opinion that I have, even ones that have nothing to do with your work. Sorry for ANYTHING in this post that you take umbrage for.

I'm never going to ask about using your characters at all ever again if that's what you're looking for. I don't want you to see me as an enemy. That's all folks. Oh and PS, I now know that you can see if I edited my comments or not. It's for correcting myself, not to hide evidence.

No, you came to me and told me that you had an irrational hatred of one of my fictional characters, that had consumed you for a week, and that you wanted to use him so you could punish him. That if I didn't let you use him, you would continue this irrational hatred for an unknown length of time. This despite the fact that I'd already told you in the past that I was uncomfortable with the idea of you using my characters. Despite me telling you, again, that I was not comfortable with you using Raymond, and encouraging you to take the backstory you had thought up and made it into a character of your own, you pressed on with using Raymond.

When you intentionally copy someone, that is not your imagination. That is someone else's imagination that you are co-opting. You can take inspiration from my characters, in fact, I quite love it when people tell me I inspired them. But that is factually not what you asked for. You asked to take my character, and I have since been redirecting that desire into you creating your own character. This is something you have now done, it seems, and I'm happy that you have, I truly am! It's better to have your own characters, anyway, that way you're not always in someone else's shadow.

Also, my status on this website is exactly the same as yours. Baseline member. I am not bigger than you, I am not greater than you, I do not outrank you. That fancy follower count next to my name is effectively meaningless, it doesn't give me anything. It's a count of how many people want to get notified when I post new content. And I've been here a long time, I don't even know if half the users on said list are even active on this site anymore. I'm on this website to share my creations with the world. I've put a lot of heart and soul into my gallery on dA. When someone attempts to poach from that gallery, I get defensive.

What I am not, however, is evil. I am not the first person in the TF community to have an antagonistic character. There are probably as many villains as there are members of the furry community. And if you honestly think that my problem here is that I don't want you to have your own "TF villain" then you have severely mistaken the kind of person I am. There is no glory, real or imagined, that I want to keep you from. I just want to protect what's mine, my characters, my artwork, my ideas.

And, so you know, using other people's characters without their permission or knowledge is copyright infringement. It's a good thing you do ask, first, because just taking is something people will report you for. But in any case, what I want is what I've gotten. You now have a character all to your own that is not mine. Now that this has been achieved, I'm quite ready to wash my hands of this. I'm not really one for drama to begin with, you know? I don't like to hold grudges, life's too short. Now that you have Rikey, use him, and leave Raymond to me. Do that, and there's no reason to even pretend we're 'enemies.'

Though I will say, for someone who's 'not attacking me,' you are quite passive aggressive.

Oh plus the reason why I went with with changing my Raymond is because when I wanted that he used to be a buizel but was transformed into a zangoose is because my hatred for him was very strong but was finally beginning to subside. My hatred for him is still existing but it's not bothering me anymore now which is also why I changed Rikey's previous species to a piplup.
As a tiny extra, where Russell and Rikey live, there's a KFC very close by! So they eat fried chicken a lot as you can imagine, LOL.
Rikey and Russell will sometimes do the things that your Raymond does but there will also being times where they are robbing places and sometimes luring people to their garage home by advertising car parts for sale online *fake cough* Craigslist *fake cough*. When the buyers arrive, they fall down a trapdoor and into a chamber with magic moulding hands and a transformation slime, Russell and Rikey demand that the buyer tell them what their least favourite letter is and they have something that will tell them if the victim is telling the truth or a lie. Then the slime is released into the chamber which breaks down the victim's body and the magic hands reshape them into the Pokemon Unown of that letter then they release the victim who's now an Unown because they know that they can't tell on them for what they did and Unown can't write either and chances are that people are just going to catch them cause you gotta catch em all!
It is rare, but when they feel generous, they will let the victim choose between the Unowns question mark and exclamation mark. They will then have the victim moulded into the mark Unown that the victim prefers and releases them afterwards. After they turn a victim into an Unown, they steal the victim's car and Russell takes it apart and sells most of the pieces and use the unsold pieces to change their fake online advertisement. Tee hee!

If they ever did that to me, for an Unown letter I'd either become and Unown "E" or "O" and punctuation symbol question mark (I actually prefer exclamation marks but I worry that people will make dirty jokes about it, I don't really like dirty humour). Russell and Rikey really are jerks, LOL.

Good. I don't lie here, but I get anxious and paranoid very easily and when I told you about my idea about Russell and Rikey I was happy when you said "I like the background you explained in your second paragraph." but then I was very shocked when you changed it to"I do not like that you are doing this". I thought that you don't like me giving our information about my idea and you're no longer going to let me share it with the world because I want to share my creations with the world too. My paranoia is so bad that I can't sleep if I'm home alone at night because I hugely fear the risk of intruders breaking in, so if my parents are away overnight(s) I need someone else I trust to be in the house when I'm sleeping so my fear isn't working.

I'm not trying to rekindle the drama but the reply that you sent before this one you just did cause me to have trouble sleeping last night, it's because of my paranoia that I could only get 4 hours of sleep instead. It's because I thought that you were going to spy on my gallery and the moment I upload the first thing about Russell and Rikey, you're going to get a bunch of screenshots of our debates and other things and make people hound me down until I get banned and that's what you wanted. My paranoia of that being the case was so tight on me that I had missed 4 hours of sleep. Now I'm close to crying because my lack of sleep was for nothing.

I'm relieved that it's now worked out but I don't like losing sleep, if I lack sleep, I get very cranky.

I don't know what passive aggressive means but I'm being tame because my cousin's girlfriend said that she once had an account on this site and said I can get a strike or something if I offend someone, which made my paranoia even worse since you said that you were offended when I thought Raymond was a Mary-sue even though it turned out to be just sarcasm. I don't like being easily scared and paranoid, it's just for future reference so you don't do anything that causes me to be paranoid out of my mind. I know that you didn't know, but it's just so you know because I don't want to lose sleep again.

I'm glad that my prediction is indeed wrong and I hope that this is water under the bridge now.

But a question I have for you that's still not been answered (no offence) is what colour do you want me to make Rikey's headband? I want you to choose the colour.
And just for fun if you ever played pokemon these are my questions:
1- What is your favourite gen 1-4 starter pokemon or their evolutions? (Mine is Blaziken)
2- What is the first legendary you caught? (Mine was Articuno in fire red and Entei in heartgold)
3- If you had one, what was the first shiny you got? (Mine was eevee in heartgold and I evolved it into an umbreon because it's my favourite eeveelution and I LOVE its shiny form, and luckily I got one as my first ever shiny )
