I don't really know if the "Thing" in the drop is a lifeformI know that this waterdrop under a fallen leaf was very small.
Around 2.3 millimeters diameter. And I knew that this "Thing"
whirls around in this waterdrop very fast.
Does anybody know what this is?
Download is 1920x1200 pixels.

Danke! Ja Zufall oder Absicht? ZufΓ€llig habe ich die Bewegung im Tropfen schon bei 1:1 gesehen.
Da hab ich dann aufgerΓΌstet und die folgenden Fotos fallen damit unter Absicht. Wenn du magst, kannst du das dafΓΌr notwendige Equipment ja mal hier anschauen.

Hi... amazing and fascinating shot!! I went to check out the 100% zoom and I believe it is hair. It looks like fine hair, of a cat or dog or other animal.... the undercoat closest to the body... refered to as down. It is trully fine, and from the pic I think it was only one hair twisted in the most amazing way to create this brilliant shot. Was this droplet taken on a carpet? Super Job regardless what it is~

It is only a Sony Alpha A100, the cheapest Sony-DSLR. And the "awesome" Lens is an old manuel 28mm-lens reversed attached to 3 manuel extension tubes. And the flash is also fully manuel. Not very awesome.

I tried to calculate the measurements of this drop and I can say that this drop was 2.3 millimeters diameter. Magnification 4.5 lifesize (chip) 6.9 (36mm-film). An no... nothing was manipulated in this shot. All true.

Weird... Really weird. I've never heard of seeing anything like this with a camera. I would strongly recommend taking this picture to a museum or something, a lab, something! You should get some very interesting responses.
