Description Alcatraz Island from Pier 39.

Used circular polarizing filter.

PSP 9 for minor corrections only.

Edit: I hadn't realized the EXIF info was missing. I forgot I had used a saved TIF version to create the smaller JPG version so I just resized the original, added the borders and titles again...

Gotta love those filters! i just got one myself. How long have you had your Digital rebel and what mode do you shoot in?

I got it last week, and I like to shoot RAW and control as much as I can so I normally use P.

You should play around with M mode. I have a DRXT and that is the only mode i use unless shooting birds in flight. That can be a little tricky. But there is no reason why you cant have full control over the settings if you understand P mode. let me know if you need any help with it.

I tried it out today. The problem I had with M was that I couldn't figure out how to change the aperture setting. Every time I read the manual I'd forget by the time I got out there, but I finally got it straight in my head . It was really overcase so I had to bump it up to 1600 ISO.

Thanks again!

There is a little button right by where your thumb lands that will help you. press the button and use the scroll wheel! It is as easy as that. The Button says AV+-. Kind of like AV mode is Aperature priority if you hold that button you will be able to change the aperature in M mode

Good luck!
