Cool...I hadn't really seen it that way but I can now...Thank you very much...if only my music got heard by as many people as NIN then I'd be really happy.

Oh, you should talk to the guy who owns the store I shot this in... 7 or 8 years ago I shot over 3500 photos of seashells for his website, which unfortunately is now defunct Used to be a great portfolio piece as a photographer and a webdesigner. But he really will explain the beauty, the art of seashells...he displays and sells them like fine art and as I've been told by many collectors it is one of the finest seashell shops in the world, with varieties no one but collectors have...unfortunately it will be gone for a new condo probably next year, so I thought I'd shoot as much as I can in a more artistic vein than commercial like I did before.
BTW I love your use of sea lifeforms with your models, they have ranged from beautiful to sublime, wonderful photos, really!

Wow 3500 photo's. That's quite a job. Already digital or analoque? Must have been e hell of a job.
Its very interesting to sea that whole over the world such interesting elements from the sea can be found.

It started out with film, but the cost was going to kill me so I borrowed the first digital camera I ever used (Sony 2mp) and crash coursed myself by shooting the final 3200 or so shots Been using digital pretty much since. Harder than shooting the pics though was setting up a internet shopping cart for that many products, especially since there is no uniformity to shells like there is say shoes or cars
Yeah, my friend with the shell shop gets very because tourists are always asking if he found all the shells himself locally in Florida.
He has such an amazing variety from every continent except antartica I bet. The truly amazing part is how so many shells of the same kind can be found in so many different parts of the world.

I like how abstract it looks while being completely organic. Sweet.

Shells are cool that way... so many of them are very abstract pieces of art...yet some like the Nautilus shell are so mathematically perfect that only nature could produce them like science yet be so beautiful and strange enough to be real art. Thank you for the comment, I'm glad you like it, I appreciate it very much!
peace
