I proudly present 'The Moon Is Out', third piece inspired by the song Rocket from Smashing Pumpkins
This is my first try with Terragen 2 and my first question is, how do I get rid of the fog in the mountains? Or atleast how to trim it down? I'm not talking about the clouds, I set them myself, I mean the fog.
Anyway, enjoy!

Apophysis 2.09 for fractals
Terragen 2 for the close up planet
Adobe Photoshop CS5 for everything else
Main .psd size : 913 MB.
Time spent: 5 hours in PS plus the rendering time
Moon textures from NASA
Everything else is mine

Oh, I truly am flattered that you think I actually hand made it, but I've used a wonderful fractal based terrain software called Terragen. It may seem like cheating, having it generated for me, but it's actually a lot of hard work setting it correctly, all the shaders for the grass color, rock and mountain colors and etcetera. Unfortunately, in this piece, a lot of that work cannot be seen, because I set the fog incorrectly.

For the Clouds you should ,,runterstellen'' the Cloud Attitude Regler.
That should sove it. It's a little time ago i work with TG2.

This is my first TG work. I was pissed that the mountains were barely visible so I pretty much turned the height to max

The planet looks super realistic - nice job on the render! I could never get terragen to make that nice of a render, maybe that's because I had an older version

Planeta je velmi dobře udělaná ale naprosto nezapadá barevně ani typově k vesmíru 
A bacha na tu "hvězdu" či co to je, ta ti nikdy takový odlesky házet nebude

Já vim, jenom sem moc hrál Mass Effect a tam jiný hvězdy nejsou
Máš pravdu, esteticky ta planeta nezapadá, ale barva atmosféry a spol. je ovlivněna složením atmosféry. Jinak by musela mít Země žlutou atmosféru. Ikdyž pořád tam esteticky opravdu nezapadá. Takže teď jenom zjistit jak v Terragenu změnit barvu atmosféry

For your little fog issue, go to Athmosphere 1 and at the top of those settings there is a "Haze Density" setting. I believe the default is 1.5. In any case it is on a slider, simply adjust as you wish! Good luck!

also sometime cloud settings can do that too, depending on the terrain altitude!
