i like the concept and the bg-photo. the warm colors are actually quite pleasing. and the puppets really give it the right zest, good idea.
what i don't like is the rather poorly photoshoped pergament paper scroll 
you should experiment with a different style (maybe more ornamentic and abstract) or just use photos for it.
similar problem with the logo, it looks metallic and thus doesn't blend in with the rest. you should avoid the gradient in it.
