Really good. Scores high in technical merit, and design-wise, it manages to convey a blueprint feel successfully without looking like a bunch of clutter. Though my initial thought while watching the image slowly download (compliments to a flawed DSL connection) was that it was a block of solid negative space. Then I thought that the design elements could be overlapped more effectively. However, when I stood back, turned up the monitor resolution, and looked at it as a whole, I felt that none of those feelings would effectively improve the piece. It rides on simplicity, yet whatever designs you put in, they were still interesting to look at.
The line work and usage of a gradual color shift from top to bottom creates great flow, and balance is beautifully achieved thanks to consistency between brush strokes, texturing, and the arrangement/brightness of the design elements. Even though the four cartridges (or whatever they are) in the top left stand out, they still get balanced out by the brighter design in the middle. The industrial look is also successfully accomplished. Really like the flakes of red near the bottom, as if the paint has long-since peeled off a metallic wall, weathered by time's hammer.
I'm a little skeptical of the shade of yellow, though. If it has more orange, like a marigold, I think it would look much more appealing to look at. Also a saturation reduction would also benefit the mood of the piece, seeing how I think creating a cold surface (as opposed to a warm appealing texture) would give it more uniqueness.
That's about all I can come up with. It's so simple, there isn't a whole lot to be said about it, except it's worthy of a fav.
