Description
This is a story of a coot family living in a pond close to where I live. Mom was sitting on her nest, while dad was busy bringing food to her. I didn't know there were baby coots. But then I saw two tiny coot heads in the nest. There were four of them.After a while mom left the nest and I could see about 7 eggs in the nest. Dad had a swim with one of the little ones. After he brought the little coot back to the nest, he left the nest to look for some more food.
It was so lovely to be able to watch them from close by (about 5 meters).

Must admit that most of the pictures are a bit dark, but
the nest was hidden under a big tree, and it was a dark cloudy day!

Thanks!! He was swimming quite fast to take care of his family now that I was standing near the nest. But he got used to it. So I could come closer to take these pictures.
I realize that they are too dark, but as soon as the sun will be shining I will go back there with my camera.
I think this picture is the best of the series. But it was so adorable to see them being busy with their family that I just had to upload some of the picture I took.

The other pictures are just telling a story. I felt like a photo-journalist.
But this one is technically the best of the series I think.
I will sure go back as soon as there will be sunshine.
