i like that this almost doesn't even look like a flower. I love flower pics but after a while all the typical ones get kinda boring. Congrats for doing one that caught my eye!

Thanks!!! Just added pictures to my camera. Lately I've been taking pictures of old flowers. This week I took pictures of an old (dryed up and brown) Anthuryum. With an orange background. I think they're special. Will add some one of these days!

Thanks, wonderful to hear!!! I usually take dozens of pictures of a flower, and this time I only took one!! And 3 of the other one, the Burning Gala Lilly.
I take my best shots at night, when its quiet, no radio, no telephone, no children shouting, no.....
I love to experiment. Hope I'll keep getting new ideas. But it sure stimulates when people comment on your pictures, and especially people like you with your enthousiastic comment!

I just can't look enough at those gorgeous shots. The yellow gala Lily is turning into my all time favorite.

I did a google and found LOTS. I found some at a florist today and I was soooooo tempted to buy them but they arent cheep here! 7 dollars for 1 stem! Roses are only 2! LOL

I googled too ( Google) and yes you are right about the name, its Calla Lily!!!!!
They are about 1 Euro (about the same as a US Dollar) for 1 stem!!! Bought 5 different ones. The Reflecting Calla Lily is one of them! Our roses are cheaper too!! I'm glad they are, because now I can buy flowers to take pictures of!! And in summer I can take pictures in the garden of a professional gardner. Lots of flowers and tropical palm trees! Lily's and palmtrees are his favorites! He allows me to take pictures whenever I want to!!

OMG those are really good prices! I found a star gazer lilly at the florist today it was 10 dollars a single stem! I ended up with a little purple iris for 3.50. I just couldnt bring myself to spend that much! Im so jellous of your gardner friend! Can't wait to see what you get.

I think our country is a real flower country!!! In wintertime flowers are grown in hothouses (glass) in the western part of our country.Lots of flours (especially roses) are imported from Africa! Most people have flowers in their livingroom, when my mother lives, my parents used to have 3 bouquets a week. When the prices would be as high as in America we could not afford it. I think we are really lucky!!!
