I like both your gala lilly shots...the colours, reflection and shape are first class. I feel the lilly is a bit 'squeezed' however, in that the tip and base of the flower are right on the edge of the shot: Have you cropped it? Again I feel a subtle framing, would not only provide a margin but would present, what is already a very good shot, as an absolute winner.

You make me feel so happy with your lovely comment on my galla lilly! No I haven't cropped it. And I see what you mean about them being a bit 'squeezed'. I didn't do it on purpose, it just happened. I only took one shot of the reflecting lilly and two of the burning lilly. The last shots of a long flower shooting session.
I really have to start using PhotoShop soon! But I've been postponing it all the time, don't know why. Some people already gave me a tutorial. I just cannot get myself trying it!

Photoshop is a bit of a cult thing really There is no doubt it is the market leader for the full-time professional but there are other editing packages like Paintshop Pro (which I like and use) which are far cheaper, far easier to master and for the sort of thing most of us do on DA will meet most needs. It makes framing very easy. The photo manipulation for instance I did on [link] was all done with Paintshop Pro!

Your manipulation just looks great!!! Can't see its been made of several pictures!!! My husband just told me we've got Paint (is this a part of Paintshop Pro?) on the computer! I hope I can work with this program to make some frames. Thanks for telling me!

No, I'm afraid 'Paint' is a basic microsoft standard windows programme. 'Paint Shop Pro' is a full editing package - It is on Amazon!
