I'm so glad you like this picture!!
I love to take pictures of dancers on stage!! And this was so wonderful.
It's a pity that I don't get much chances to take pictures on stage again.
Would love to do it more often.

Thanks! Hand-held. I was standing on one side of the stage and there was hardly
enough space for me. I don't like to use tripods, especially when you have to move vast with
a subject like this. Lots of movements. But I used a 50mm Macro lens 1:1.8 II. So you don't need
that much light.

Yes, that helps. Thank you. I had one like this in mind, too. But lately, I tend to go and get the 35 mm 1:1,8 lens. I have a Nikon.

I think I would prefer a 35mm!! More possibilities on stage. A wider view.
I love zoom lenses because you can stay at the place you are standing and still take close-ups with the same lens. But you cannot use the zoom with bad light conditions

I agree, but my 18 to 105 zoom that came with the camera is not the best in terms of light. But the result is still pretty ok. I have not yet printed anything I shot.

Most of the times these lenses are not the best. Now I know that its better to only buy the body and choose your own lenses.
I usually only let my photo's print when I need them for the Photoclub that I'm member of!
