This was done a while ago, just forgot to upload. D:I've always wanted to do a train scene. I always liked riding the older, rickety malfunctioning trains early in the morning when the lights were all practically broken and would turn off arbitrarily and all you got was the light from the window.
Might be some familiar faces in the background...

wow, this piece is amazing. without realizing it i was looking at this picture for around ten minutes just to make sure i fully got what it was portraying and each person looks like they could tell their own story, thats what you want in a picture. I know exactly what you mean, I get this train to college every day and it has to be one of the most worn down things in existance - it's broken down twice in as many months! But I wouldn't want to ride on anything else, I love it. On a train like that you can really feel the road. (:

This is awesome. Though I fear for the goldfish's life. Shaken to death does not sound like a nice way to go, but with transportation like that old train it's always a posibility

The boy in the back next to the couple that's flirting looks like he wants to jump out of the moving train. The little girl with the fish next to grandpa is absolutely adorable.

Haha, it's actually a girl in the back (but she dresses a little boyish, so it's understandable). Yeah, she's not too happy about the flirting.

It usually takes me a few days to do a picture with a lot of characters, but I was kind of inspired with this one. It took me about seven hours from start to finish.

I love riding the train. It seems to have so much more life than any other public transport. Your description - the lights turning off and only the sunlight streaming through the window - goes with this so beautifully. I love it. I love the individuality of each and everyone on board. I love the details. I love the stories of each person you can see so clearly.
