as you know - i've faved all of your recent deviations, but i think this is my favorite of the series. the lighting, expression, atmosphere, and draftsmanship are 1st class.
do you work from photographs? if so - are they photographs you've taken yourself? and - is the lighting something that you replicate or something you envision?

Cheers mate. Haven't been on here in a while. I'm crap at takin photos of all my work, i wish i could show all my paintins but i just dont have photos of them. All these have been done in the last couple of weeks. This one was for a commission and is pretty similar to an older one that i really liked.
I work from my own photos. Usually try to get a ton of photos everytime so i've got alot of images to choose from. It's basically replicating the light, but there i do like to leave a little room for happy accident (or maybe i'm just sloppy)
