Your character should mirror their occupation, soldiers aren't allowed to wear their hair like that in real life. Therefore it looks silly based on the general perception of all militarys, and looks out of place. Would you trust a person wearing a toolbelt and a hard hat, holding a hammer who says "I can cut your hair." Probably not because a hammer cannot cut hair.
as for the uniform...it looked kinda dumb but ig that's whatever.
And it's the little realitys that make Science Fiction more believable, more real and when you base your fiction on some grounds of reality while also bending it, it doesn't hurt for that to mirror in your characters. She can be as physically attractive as possible but that doesn't fix the poor character growth in ME3.

I have the ability to suspend my disbelief for Fiction. Something as insignificant as having a Beautiful female soldier doesn't bother me in the slightest. Seems like a lot of people have that ability because a lot of huge franchises have small details such as this and no one cares...well except for SJWs.

Yes but Mass effect didn't do that until the 3rd installment which puts it out of place where once "trope-y characters" then become the norm which many found immersion breaking.

I think I died a little inside when I got that armor for Wrex. I'm not sure I think I went into a trauma-induced coma.
