The only description of Rathma I have read is within the Sin War trilogy (diablo novels), this doesn't look at all like I have evisioned him from there, but I like this piece of art anyway, sooooo I'm putting it in the favourites collection.

Do you keep the character in a layer separated from the background or all together? i'm asking because I'm trying to make more complex compositions and I'm studying options.

At the beginnig,I keep the character in a layer separated from the background,because it's more convenient to do my charater design.
But in the final stage,I always draw the charater and the background in the same layer.
