Oops, did I just made use of trivia about Strafe I've heard from someone?Another WIP...or at last a sketch...because I have got unfortunately distraction from continuing today my contest entry (Pokemon in natural habitat)
as I didn't felt enough confident to continue it...so I started my Strafe fanart I want to do since I saw this dinobot
from Transformers 4 movie(no, I haven't watched it, only few scenes on Youtube). At last I relaxed while drawing this 40 minutes sketch.

I LOVE the head's difference and I won't lie, when I saw Strafe flying down for the first time to catch Bumblebee,
I thought it has blue skulls inside its mouth!
How cool is that?
I hope I'll try someday how good I can be at complicated mech design...without any perfect reference, only couple of made by myself screenshots :Y
A speedpaint will be the only option here.
PS: they gave him name Strafe. In transformed humanoid form they gave him a bow.
Never used it.

I just saw them and the scenes are absolutely epic There's a dinobot who, indeed, reminds me a lot of Tyrantrum. And the soundtrack is pretty good too. If only the movie was better...

Nothing perfect. Especially that's american movie, it's all about action and visual effects, I don't complain that much.
at last the Spinosaurus Dinobot throwing itself like a canonball was something LOVELY and neat!

I must focus on my contest entry and comission before I'll try continuing this....you watch me, you know i have troube with dealing with so many ideas and will to draw many of them at once, but I don't give up, I'll try to finish them at last as a speedpaint!

This dinobot design is truly brilliant to me. Maybe because for stereotypical pteranodon with teeth(like, doesn't the name means "no-tooth, winged"?) and long tail (like both pterodactyl and pteranodon got them...) the heads resemble Darwinopterus, the missing link between early long tailed pterosaurs and their later, advanced crested ones.
I enjoy the most the teeth on lower jaw. This dinobot is truly a monster inspired on pterosaurs, not a monstrous pterosaur that would mislead people that such pterosaur ever existed...fromt he first sight everyone sees a monster, not a prehistoric animal. I appreciate that and love so much personally
