I hope you enjoy something among my endless amount of WIPs and planned E-Pokedex entries
Since I saw Turtonator and knew it's based on piscivore, I was scratching my head "so....what does it eat in the wild of the Pokemon World?"
I see it living in the mountains and being a carnivore. After I realized that many Pokemon encountered in Blush mountain are 1/4 of Turtonator's size...
I realized it CAN prey on those, even if not in as active way of other predators.....no bite or crunch, no slash attacks, nothing really powerful to hunt down the prey.
BUT WHY WOULD YOU NEED TO TROUBLE YOURSELF WITH HURTING YOUR PREY WHEN YOU CAN JUST LET THEM
STEP ON A BOMB WHICH EVOLUTION GAVE YOU?
YEAH, POKEMON WORLD. WHERE WE BASICALLY HAVE BOMB POKEMON SINCE 1ST GEN.

the colored sketch was inspired after Pokemon anime episode where Kiawe and his Turtonator learned how to battle better
and where we can see Turtonator use its dragon tail which glows in my favourite color :'D

Turtonator's one of my favorite Pokémon Alola has to offer, which is really small if you only count the Pokémon only found in Alola...at the moment, kind of hope it stays like that honestly because I like the idea of Alola having Pokémon exclusive to their region, if you want a Pokémon from Alola in Gen 8, that's why we have PokeBank
The only thing I don't get about Turtonator is, how do the spines on its shell not explode when it detonates, or do they and they just regrow and Turtonator just coats them in...sulfur I think it is?
To me what they should have said is that Turtonator can create a substance in its body that's similar to Tannerite or something and it coats its spines with it by licking them or maybe uses that nose to spray it on like can of spray paint, Tannerite if you don't know what it is an EXTREMELY powerful liquid explosive, a few pounds of that stuff can blow up a house, all it needs is a little bit of heat and friction to activate, people do this by simply shooting it. Texans use that stuff to blow up invasive species like wild hogs and the end result...raining ham, pork-belly, ribs, bacon etc.

personally i actually do like turtonator
it's just that i already had a dragon AND a fire in my team already so i had no room for one (that and if i had it i'd have 3 fire types)
the top left picture makes me thing of Godzilla (1998) and i love it
