Description
I made this ring the day after I found out the name of my amazing love-at-first-sight-man-of-my-dreams!I seem to recall I presented it like "I know this might seem a bit weird, but I noticed you like rings so I made you this.
Here. Not like I'm a stalker or anything."
..He wore it on our first date, a week later.
The front is a smooth garnet cabochon. Personally I find the secret agreement between me and the wearer more interesting than the front. The "T" can't be seen through the gem since its so dark.
I made it in a day. I dropped all other projects and went up completely into those few rose-tinted images I had of him in my mind. Heart pounding and hands shaking when making as well as presenting it.

I love seeing people do things with the bottom and underside of the ring! It looks amazing seeing the silver surrounded by such wonderful color!

Thank you!
The most important piece of jewelry I made so far... trying to catch my beloved Thomas with that on my hook!

*smile* He is my muse and my inspiration. I love him madly and despite our courtship was so weird, it just feels so right!
..Here he is by my side.. :thumb180331681:

Hah, I remember flunking Metal Shop in high school because I made a ring for a girl I liked during finals instead of making the project we were assigned. I completely forgot about schoolwork, it was so bizarre, haha.
These are the best kinds of rings.

That is so sweet. And I completely agree!
I actually made this in spring during the very same project time. Only I was so fast that I made my project. Plus at least ten other things that crept under the teacher's radar. He was very forgiving and loved my inspired work so it was totally OK anyway.
I was the student urging my classmates to working on weekends too.
Couldn't get me out of that forge even for lunch! They pondered fetching a crowbar.

This is a beautiful ring, and such a wonderful story! Those little, quiet reminders of joy are a wonderful thing, like an inside joke or a perfect moment no one else knows about.
