Tristesse - a word rich in meaning; perhaps sadness or melancholy. It made me see the image your way. Before I saw your title, I thought of emptiness - a scene without colour or soul. Fascinating how different people see the same scene. Part of the joy of art. Thanks for the photo and your choice of title. I can see it two ways now.
