I actually watched a film on the plane called 'Distance.' It comprised three separate stories played by the same actor and it was unclear (to me) whether they took place in alternate realities or if they were just discrete periods of time in the same person's life. The film made sense either way. Since watching it, I've thinking a lot about the distance between people that they/we can never cross, despite (oftentimes) being so similar at heart.
