Description
My last entry for the tri-club Between the Lines contest. The Hall of the Elvenking is a beautiful place - light dancing off polished surfaces, intricate carvings, solid stone intertwining with nature and deep-rooted trees....but what goes on inside is fit only for the laments of old.
There were probably many times during the long fight against the Necromancer and Dol Guldur that Legolas and Thranduil had to hear news of the deaths of their people. He may be a king, but he sits on a cold, twisted throne. There's beauty even in chilling places, and I tried to reflect that here. What was once a seat of pride and honor, the years have warped into dread and horror. Yet Thranduil continues to fight the long defeat, and he laments that Legolas must be there with him, ready to take his place should ever he fall.

This doesn't quite fit into my BHF verse but I'm putting it there anyway. In the verse Legolas would already be an adult...

Awww, it's such a sweet picture, yet so, so sad...It's true, the history of the Woodland Realm is truly sad and tragic. And you know, it's history is one of the things that prooves that there's no way that Thranduil is an abusive father, because with everything that was going on, Legolas would've turned out seriously messed up if his dad had been abusive.
That's also one of the reasons why I love this picture: even though they are far away from each other, you can still tell that there is a strong bond between father and son.
Oh, and also, I love the little barefoot Legolas

Yeah...this is the main reason I made the BHF-verse; they really deserve to be happy! Thank you!

Aww! I want to hug them both so badly! I love the environment you made for them. Especially the throne.

Haha me too Thank you! The throne was actually the first thing I did, and it got a little blurred-out after I put in the orange/green/blue lights, but the end result looked better with the myriad of colors so I kept them in
