Description

Spoilers for jgss0109 's Luna the Child profile, Luna creates a spell that makes everyone forget that Eclipsa is her mother, and they instead think her mother is someone called "Helena".

Since jgss0109 does not seem to have an idea of what she looks like, I thought I'd get my foot through the door and introduce my headcanons before other jgss0109 fans can. I hope you all enjoy!

In-universe, she is Helena the Fragile. She was known for being sickly for most of her life, as well as having the Mewnian equivalent of “Glass bones" syndrome; where the bones are so fragile, they can easily break and do so constantly during the patient’s life. She eventually succumbs to her illnesses which is why Luna became Queen so young.

Due to the limits of Luna's own magic, there are a lot of inconsistencies about her life, or at least what people "knew" about her life. Eclipsa was her older sister who pushed the throne onto her. Eclipsa was her younger sister whom became the famous runaway princess. Eclipsa was her distant ancestor, her aunt, her mother whom had a teen pregnancy. As confusing as her relationship with Eclipsa was, it was even more so with her and Hekatia, for similar reasons.

Luna was able to get passed this because, by the time the spell was cast Helena was 'old news'. And then Heaven got the crown and people were focusing more on the Mad Queen than some old one. Other than the consensus that she only had one child, and thus could not provide an alternative heir.

DESIGN NOTES:

Her name comes from a Greek word coming from 'torch', so I gave her blonde hair to resemble the yellow of a flame. I gave her Luna's nose and fringe style.

The whole time, I wanted to give her an 'artificial' vibe. Like there was something not entirely real about her. She was given the Butterfly skull, to make her blend in more with the lineup of queens. Her wand is based on a Sailor Moon wand, like some of the other queens. Her crown is based on the wand, but there's nothing special about that. I wanted to give her an 'Alice in Wonderland' motif, so her dress is from the Tim Burton remake of said movie. Her cheekmarks I'm particularly proud of, it's the alchemical symbol of creation... because Helena is Luna's creation! Heh heh heh heh

Fun fact, her cheekmark colour is the opposite HEX colour of Eclipsa's, or at least as close as I could get it without making it hurt to look at.

Note: Her wand is to scale, because the original Sailor Moon wand was that big. Just if anyone was curious.
