for anyone who is looking at this and think they dont look "dwarve" enough; their looks are done on purpose, thank you for all your inputs anyhow.just want to add. thank you everyone, for appreciating my effort into making them a bit different, you guys made me want to cry =]

Everybody who thinks of dwarves pictures them a little different. These dwarves are distinctly "Wen-M" dwarves, and there is nothing wrong with that.

the guy in the pic looks awesome! but i have to agree with everyone on the girl. she looks as if she was normal, just a little bit shorter i guess. maybe if you did a comparrison shot of one of your humans vs. the dwarves.

i think the character designs are unique and well executed. and everyone that's whining about the female...*shrugs* not all dwarves are supposed to be dumpy. if anyone is familiar with tad williams, the female dwarves in his stories were always hidden away because they were supposedly exceedingly beautiful. the male dwarves found them more precious than gold...and we all know how dwarves feel about gold and precious gems.

Awesome work as usual. I think they both look very much like dwarves. My complements on the design of the soldier's armor and the rogue's clothes in general. They both look very authentic, if that makes any sense, and seem to fit the two of them extremely well. The rogue's bracer and the patterns on her clothes look especially well done and time consuming. That axe is also sweet looking. Wish I had one like it. I do have to say though that I am not fond of the soldier's armor. It is well done and cool looking, but is hardly flattering. I think it makes him look chubbier than he already is which is a bit too much in my opinion. His hair is wonderful though. I like how that one long piece is red. Interesting, but it surprisingly works. As for the female rogue, what can i say she is gorgeous, both from an art stand point and just plain hot. The light purple, or is it pink, under her chin and a little on the back of her neck really fits in. I assume it is part of the shading. Anyway, great job. Your skills are legendary.

I know the whole dwarf figure subject has been tried and tired.
I think the female's boots make her look dwarfy enough. There's a difference between midget and dwarf. Midgets are the short stubby ones, and dwarfs look like normal humans with shorter legs... pretty much. Those boots make her legs look right. The male looks right coz his arm is longer than normal "humans" (last I checked, dwarves were human -_-), and if anything needs assessment, it's the length of the female's arm. All else is well

Wow! The available looks for dwarves are going to be so varied. I hope the same amount of variation is going to be put into the other races, especially Kyrr and Varim.
