I\'m so confused.
Where is it\'s head? I see a human head, but then I also see a (creepy) mouth, under that, and the orbs look like eyes... (. . ?) The confusion sure makes this creature seem scarier.

That's a very impressive design! The amount of feathers made me wince in sympathy, must've been a LOT work.
I especially like the paws. The mystic-blue colour and the small patterns give this creature of ancient myth.

My gosh, you are something else. Really, where do you get the ideas, the inspiration for these creatures? I mean, this could have been a traditional sphinx, but the feathers are so cleanly drawn and evenly spaced they look almost robotically perfect, reinforced by the almost joint-like spiral on the hip. (By the way, I am in raptures over that leg. The lighting on it is superb.) And the human part in yours is almost more of an appendage than a real, functioning part of the anatomy, like the false eyes on a moth, just there to distract an enemy while the real danger lies below. A really well done piece!
