I believe that the red part of the cape has one-too-many repetitive, um, decorations. Almost looks like a cheap carpet compared to rest of drawing

I totally agree; the combo of red and black is always amazing. This reminds me so much of harlequins, so it makes me think this character has something sneaky in their personality. There's also a great regality (is that even a real word?) the stance and face.
