This is absolutely stunning! I love the colors especially! Wish I could color skin like you can!
I hope you don't mind me giving a bit of critique...
As others have pointed out, the leg is too long.
I take Tae Kwon Do (and I believe Karate is the same way) when someone does a kick, they keep their arms (or in this case, arm) in a "guard position".
Basically, keeping the arms by the chest and hands in fists so that if the kick fails or if they do another technique/follow up with a combo, they can easily go and either punch the person or block with their arm. If they don't, they'd have to do an extra step to punch or block. What I'm trying to say is that I believe her arm would be up in a guard position, since she looks like an experienced ninja.
I really hope this doens't offend you, it's just a tidbit I thought that might help your work. Feel free to disregard it if you like.
Keep on rocking!

Looks good Wen. Yeah you know about the leg.
But also I think maybe you could have done a little more with the composition. It feels kinda flat to me.
The angle that you drew the girl doesn't feel like she's kicking the ninja in the air . As well as the ninja she has in head lock looks too stiff. I would think that there would be more strain from him.
I love the painting otherwise! Beautiful colors! and I love the green roof of the castle wall! Great job as always!

The poses are very stiff and static. I don't really get a flow of force or any sense of impact from the fight. The background is in a completely different eye level than the foreground and the leaves at the top have no rhyme or reason and scream 'afterthought'. Perhaps you could have picked a more interesting angle to shoot this fight scene from. Move one character into the extreme foreground and show the force of the blow by having him being knocked very far forward. Right now it is almost like we're seeing this all happen on a very flat, almost 2 dimensional stage. Think of how you'll 'shoot' your images like you're a film director.

nice job and I think you can pull off the looking flat part with the textures, because apart from it, this is a truly amazing picture.

Okay, so I admit this is awesome as hell but I really think the girl looks either too stiff or too relaxed (as in "i don't need to put too much effort in to kicking your ass cuz I'm awsome") as she's kicking that ninja on the head.
Maybe it WAS your intention but honestly it bothers me.

After browsing your work, you have no room to complain about this in any way, shape, or form..

I admit I'm no photo realist but that doesn't mean I don't have a good eye.
If you are an artist you would know what it's like to, 1) be a novice and, 2) be so carried away with the actual process of working that you end up ignoring the technical things like form and shape.
Which I think Wen-M did here. >_>
And I really don't see why you should be complaining. There's nothing wrong with constructive criticism. =]

I seriously doubt he ignored the things you are talking about. Maybe he missed on accuracy a little, but that's about it. Look, there's a reason that within 5 minutes of posting a new deviation that Wen-m has 5 pages of comments. People love his work. With so many great illustrations to his name, I wouldn't think it appropriate to comment negatively about a leg being a little long in one of them. Yeah, it's noticeable, but a talent like that will realize his mistake, but sometimes you get too far along to make the revision, maybe that was the case here. I don't know, say what you want man, but this guy has so much talent it's scary. The drawing in question is amazing, could the characters have been drawn a little better anatomically speaking? Sure, but I take it for what it is and don't want to discourage this artist in any way... People like to break down greatness to bring them down to their level it seems. It's a jealousy thing. Would you like Wen-M to critique your work? Not being mean or a jerk or anything, but would you?
I am a musician, not an artist like all of you on here. But that doesn't take away from the fact that it's nice to hear positive things about my work, even though they are not perfect musical ideas, are you starting to understand where I am coming from?

Okay, so maybe there is such things as 'levels of talent' and I know I am light years away from Wem-M. But does that really mean I have no right to say anything? Should I be silenced just because I have not yet reached my full potential even if I am aware of my mistakes? Even if I do know what I am talking about?
Critical thinking, the consciousness to see tiny mistakes in your works and being comfortable enough to take comments and critique with grace is something that comes with any artistic profession. It is a reality and they are crucial to the growth of the artist.
Sometimes people give criticism not because they want to drag down their superior but because they genuinely want to see this greatness become even greater.
As for my work, I do see what is wrong. I love [almost] every piece I do even if they aren't brilliant. I actually love constructive criticism. I'm so sick of people saying I'm so fricking good. I want to know tricks and techniques to improve so I do like it when people tell me what's wrong--as long as they aren't rude about it. That's a different story.
It's always good to hear positive about your work but what I'm saying is that there has to be a healthy balance of good and bad. Art is a never ending process of growth and improvement. It's good to have feedback that will help you on that growth.

Actually, I think the flat works. Since they're supposed to blend into the shadows, the flat color adds a unique depth to the fabric. As a seamstress, I know alot of fabrics that react to light that way, making you them appear to absorb the light. So, I'll say don't change it. It works.
