i think all of my images are 8 bit, 16bit seem to rule out some filters that i tend to use i think. do you use 16bit?

tehe...you think your images are 8 bit..., You should know that...I know,I know...you playing .
yes it's true, some useful filters works only on 8 bit mode only,hhh... generally whole filter gallery.
Yes, since June i work only in 16 bit mode.Looks better, there is more depth in my pictures , edges looks softer (without doing with them anything special) and ...i don't know...everything looks nicer.
aww... thanks for reply

Well,I always wanted to paint super soft and now it's very simple ,even useing standard default airbrush,well...definitely less then it was on 8 bit mode.Fading colours, gradients looks smother although you can still see errors(colour range)-eee...how to call this shit...You know what I mean.Softer edges, better contrast without applying 20 adjustments...well, everything, I never so enjoyed painting like now.
I still think that you paint that in 16 bit, or maybe you just switch from your PS7 to CS5.
hmmmmmmmmm...

hahaa, well either way, im glad it works for both of us now XD what are you doing nowdays, by the way? free lance like me or working for a company?

PlusNine In reply to Wen-M [2011-12-16 18:10:48 +0000 UTC]
Unfortunately, neither freelancing or working in the company, of course, I work but what I'm doing has nothing to do with doing any graphics (physical work -_-).Anyway I'm not as good as You and I can not quickly draw/paint and that skills are necessary to life from selling your pictures,i think...eeee.I still need to more organize my painting methods, almost each time I do something unplanned and random. If I colour someones line art or mine I'll always change it,add something unnecessary,no matter what, I'm so unprofessional.
Ending...I always,usually...If it's a male picture then i stare on it for less time hehe (female art -YES! _male art- Perhaps, depends how pictures is done). When You submit something it usually makes me think, how you do that, how you apply lights, how you creating those fancy shapes. You work on separated layers there is no doubt but i wonder do you use mask layers on that separated layers, vector mask ,or clipping mask or just you locking transparent pixels on that layer. What kind of layers you use and what layers you don't use. Some people(professionals how call them self) mixing channels to get desired effect(wtf), like so far I don't really understand that how to not fu*** up picture mixing channels,do you messing with channels.Do you use RGB or CMYK and do u use default PS colour management or something more fancy, gonna bet that is not default C.M.
I'm not asking and i rather don't what read your answer. This what you doing makes me think and keep searching to get better picture quality, detail and colour.
I thought you Anima is a some company business,huh...You are genius, somebody should employs You,or maybe You just like that form of work, less stressing.

This one has always given me chills since I first saw it on Arcana Exxet's cover. Amazing job as always.
Interesting thought though, does the art for the Anima books get selected from your work to best fit a scene or commissioned individually?

The white things kind of steal focus from the girl. She is pretty, but the background overwhelms her.

It's the eyes, they immediately draw you in with their intensity and hold you there. Then your vision zooms out, slowly revealing the entire picture but still you are kept in a perpetual staring contest with the heroine. The composition and light and shade is amazing as well, light and dark complementing each other in such a beautiful way.

You are most welcome.
It's a wonderful picture that deserves proper appreciation and admiration. It just makes you wonder, 'what is her story?'
By the way, thank you for the reply.
